1.) The Kommandant and crew on their 1st patrol executed supply skillfully and performed well. The experience gained here will be of great benefit for other U-tankers, as well as U-boats. | |||
2.) Due to the varied seamanship training U-boat Kommandants and their crews satisfactory taking over will not be achieved for all boats, especially since it is the first time for most U-boats. It is envisaged that new U-boat arrivals at the Front, in addition to the text book, carry out a practice refueling in the homeland. | |||
