        Stern cannon was manned and fired in the direction of the periscope.  No impacts heard.

                 Superbly carried out patrol.  The Kommandant has proven his previous track record of skill, considered action and good fighting spirit.  Particular emphasis is placed on the this patrol operating in water depths of 20-40 meters.  The Kommandant owes winning his great success in the shortest time to this decision.
