Air patrolling of American waters is for the most part carried out by semi-rigid airships called "Blimps". Length 74 m., 2 engines maximum speed 120 km., maximum range 3200 km., armament: 2.5 or 3.7 cm guns, bombs and depth charges. They can carry on a cable, underwater detection gear. | |||||||||||||||||
